Belle Lettre H from Gigi R

This is my first start of 2013 and I love the way it’s moving along. I’m stitching it over 1 on 25 count black lugana with DMC 51. I also will be getting the letters G and J. I want to display them like a monogram.

Egad! I Did It!!!

Started The Heritage Sampler, that is. It’s great! Only four colors for the whole design. Kudos to Aury for placing the colors in such a way that the design looks so much more colorful. I don’t have enough stitched to show a picture, but I will when there’s more to see. I found a lovely piece of 25 count Mushroom Lugana and away I went! I’m stitching it 1 over 1 and I know it’s going to be beautiful.

I’ve been stitching nothing but Quakers for a while now and this is a lovely change. Well, I need to get off of here and go stitch for a while. Have a great weekend, Peeps!

The Heritage Sampler from Aury Tm

I’ve had this pattern for several years now and have yet to stitch it. But 2013 may be the year. At least I’d like it to be, but we’ll have to see. I have so much going on right now, it isn’t funny. I think this is absolutely beautiful and love the colors in it.

Cirque des Cercles

This is another one I want to get back to. I love the silk I’m using for this. It’s Dinky Dye’s Black Opal. I have a finish of this, but I gave it to someone near and dear to me. This one is going to be for me. Cirque des Cercles 10-11

Stitcher’s ADD

I am definitely afflicted with this. I get into phases where I do nothing but jump from project to project to project. In the last week, I’ve worked on Mouline Verte, Snowflakes and now Our Anniversary. Our Anniversary is from Sampler Cove and it’s a beautiful piece.  I’m stitching it because Jim and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary this coming May 12th. I really hope I’ll have it finished by then, but you know what they say about the best laid plans… I’m stitching it 1 over 1 on 28 count Water Lily Jobelan with Rainforest from Threadworx.

Mouline Verte

This is definitely another favorite of mine. It’s Mouline Rouge from Long Dog Designs. We changed the name to Mouline Verte because I’m using green instead of red. This is another I intend to finish for me! It’s stitched 1 over 1 on 28 count African Daisy Jobelan with Green Applewood from Threadworx.

Confessions of a Serial Starter

ImageThose of you who have known me for a while know that this is absolutely true! I am a Serial Starter. For me, the thrill is in selecting a design, fiber and fabric. Then when the first stich is put in, it’s almost orgasmic! I have so many WIPs it’s not funny, but there is one I always go back to and it looks like it may actually become a finish! I actually have finished several pieces, but they were always for someone else. Quaker Virtues however, is different. I started it for myself and by God I’ll finish it for myself! I’m stitching it 1 over 1 on 28 count Lavender Sunset Jobelan with Slate from Waterlilies. I just love the color combination of the fabric and silk. Above is a recent picture of it. There’s still a ways to go, but I’ve gotten quite a bit done.
